My name is Hannah Hughes. I am a 2014 graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts graphic design degree. While in hot pursuit of my diploma, I decided to take calligraphy as an elective my junior year and became obsessed with putting pen to paper. Anyone can open his or her laptop and type in a script typeface. However, there is something extremely satisfying about dipping an oblique pen into an inkwell and creating letters by hand without the aid of technology. I would love nothing more than to help you make your special day or event even better with some hand-lettering touches, so let’s get started!

What’s with the name?

I am glad you asked! Corinne is my middle name, derived from my great-great-grandmother Corinna born circa 1860. I have always loved my middle name but have been forever frustrated with it because no one could ever spell or pronounce it. I still have nightmares of my high school graduation when my name was announced as “Kor-een” as I walked across the stage, but I digress. Hannah is what I go by every day, the name on my graphic design degree; it's modern and easy to say. Corinne is my calligraphy business name, for those who appreciate keen attention to detail and find happiness in doing things the old-fashioned way.
